Catniss came to her foster family during a snow storm. It was obvious that she was someone's pet but was unwanted and dumped outside. A caring individual gave her a box to sleep in and fed her while she contacted our rescue. Catniss arrived at her foster home, fearful she wouldn't have enough food and would be attacked by the other fosters. It took a bit for her to trust again. She was brought up to date on all her vaccines and was spayed.
Catniss follows her foster mom everywhere. She likes to be involved in cooking the meals, doing the dishes and household chores, and watching tv snuggled on her foster mom with the family dog. She has come a long way.
Although she still needs to overcome some trauma behaviors, she needs someone who will understand and be gentle with her. At this point, Catniss would probably do better in a single cat household. She requires someone who will pay a lot of attention to her.
Catniss lives in her foster home with children, a dog, and several cats and kittens. She hopes to have her own loving family.
