Meet Butterball! He is a large, chubby-cheeked ginger tabby approximately 2-3 years of age, who has spent most of his life outdoors behind a local gas station. When he became seriously wounded in a fight with an intact cat he was brought into FUR and nursed back to health. There it was discovered his great potential as an indoor feline companion. He is a sweet boy eager to play with the other cats. However, he is FIV + and, because there are so many free roaming cats at FUR, he is not allowed to roam freely as a precautionary measure. He was in a foster home for a while and got along very well with the other cats; it was the family dog that he was not a fan of. Now he is back at FUR. Butterball needs his chance at a better life. FIV+ cats can live alongside other cats peacefully and live full and normal lives. FIV+ is not a death sentence!
