Arrival story: Bridget came to us from a pound in the downriver area. Her owners gave her up to the pound because they said they had too many cats and couldn't keep her. She sat and sat at the pound in a cage, waiting for someone to come and adopt her.. and no one did. We don't know why, she's so darn cute and loving! (Probably because there are just too many cats and not enough homes.. please spay and neuter your pets!). Luckily, we were able to save Bridget and now she is residing in a foster home where she can get all the TLC she's been missing.

Approximate age & weight: Bridget is approx. 1yr old and 5.5 pounds. She is very thin right now and could use to put on at least another 3-4 pounds. She has a healthy appetite in her foster home, so we hope she puts on her needed weight quickly.

Personality: Bridget is gentle and loving. She wants nothing more than to interact with people. Since she lived in a house before that had "too many cats" she gets along fabulously with other cats, even the ones in her current foster home.

Besides Bridget's great personality, she also has a beautiful coat and unique features. She has lynx tip ears like a Maine Coon cat, and a large bushy tail to match. Therefore, despite her small size, we have listed her as a Maine Coon mix breed.

The ideal home for this animal...: Bridget is just a "go with the flow" type of kitty, and she would be a great fit for almost any home, so long as they have the attention to give her that she desires. She has not yet interacted with small children, but due to her mellow personality, we imagine she'd do well with kids.

Thank you for your interest in a homeless animal!
