My Story

Bob has got to be one of the WORLD's BEST CATS! His story is heartbreaking but his spirit shines so bright. He came to the shelter in a trap like so many cats do. Often times neighbors will trap unsuspecting cats who enter their yards and bring them to the shelter because they find them a nuisance. If they don't have proper id and are not claimed within 3 working days, chances are they will never be reunited with their families. Bob was a victim of a trap and shelter staff thought he was feral. What they found out later was that his tail had been caught in the trap and severely injured. They amputated part of his tail and found out what a lovely boy he was! He is such a lover boy at the adoption center and he instantly housed himself with the other cats by cuddling up in bed with them. He was out and about playing with the kittens today (10-26) and LOVES the round ball chaser toy with a scratcher in the middle. He's a lucky guy and we're lucky to have him. His unique ear leads us to believe he could be part American Curl. The curled ear causes him to need ear cleaning on a regular basis. We use an ear flush and qtip and he's such a good boy. For this reason, we are listing him "special needs" but hope that won't decrease the interest in this sweetie pie. Remember Bob is good with everyone-cats, dogs, and people! Our cats are all up to date on their shots, have tested negative for FELV/FIV, have either been spayed or neutered, treated with a flea preventative, have been de-wormed, and have been micro-chipped. Those that are not on display at the Laguna PetsMart, are in foster care.
