Blue

Arrival story: Blue was found as a stray and brought into the pound. No one came to claim him. In fact, he stayed at the pound waiting for his family in a cage for almost 3 months. After so much time went by and he wasn't claimed or adopted, he was tagged to be euthanized. We rescued him within 5 minutes of his death appointment.. now he is one lucky boy who we've named Blue who no longer has a reason to be sad because now he is safe in foster care with Shelter to Home.

Approximate age & weight: Blue is 2 yrs old and 9.9 pounds.

Personality: Blue is full of mellowness and laid back personality. In fact, his foster mom is labeling him "Favorite foster cat of 2007". This boy is so good with other felines, and even dogs. During his first day in his new foster home, Blue walked up to the resident cat and meowed at her and as she was hissing at him he walked up and gave her a heat-butt with affection and she bolted, hissing and having a fit. Poor Blue looked up at his foster mom with a look on his face like, "What did I do? She doesnt' want to be my friend?"

Mr. Blue loves to lay in bed and sleep in every morning, cuddling up against his foster mom. He is so grateful to be out of his cage at the pound and be able to stretch his legs and lay in a cozy bed once again. He has excellent house manners, has excellent litterbox habits and has a hearty appetite.

Blue is a "Polydactyl Hemingway " cat -- that means he has extra TOES! Isn't that cool? The breed was developed by the author, Ernest Hemingway in the Florida Keys. How unique!!

Blue is all 4-paw de-clawed, neutered, vaccinated, tested for feline leukemia/FIV [negative], de-wormed and received a clean bill of health from our veterinarian. His required adoption donation is $100.
