Blackie — REDUCED ADOPTION FEE

Blackie is a stunning black cat with luxurious long hair that is as dark as the night sky. His gleaming yellow eyes stand out against his sleek fur, adding to his mysterious allure. He is a true social butterfly! He is incredibly friendly and loves to spend time with both humans and other cats. His gentle and affectionate nature makes him a perfect companion for families with children, as he adores attention and enjoys playing with kids. Blackie is considered special needs as he tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus). This means that he may be less able to fight off common infections and prone to secondary infections if/when he does come down with a "kitty cold." He will need his guardians to be vigilant about his nutrition, environment and proactive wellness routines (regular vet exams, booster shots on time, etc.). While FIV is not readily transmissible and typically requires a bite to be passed to another cat, it is still typically recommended that FIV+ cats are not housed with other, uninfected felines. It is species specific and cannot be transmitted to humans / dogs / rabbits / etc. Thanks to a generous sponsor, Blackie’s adoption fee is reduced to $100. Blackie's approximately date of birth is 2/17/2020. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, current on vaccines, microchip, dewormed and free vet visit to be used within 5 days of adoption. Our adoption center is open Saturdays from 11 to 4 and Sundays from 12 to 4. We are located inside the West Valley Mall in Tracy, 3200 Naglee Road in suite 452.
