Bitty

Bitty has a strange beginning story with us. She was found one day in her colony fine and the next day, completely dragging her back side across the gravel. Thankfully, she was brought inside and Cat Tales was able to take her in. She had a minor wound on her back, which led us to believe this was some type of trauma. She went to the specialists down at Blue Pearl to learn that she had Bilateral Luxating Patellas, as well as a subarachnoid diverticulum (cyst on spine). The docs that thought that the patellas may have been caused by the cyst rather than the back wound and if it was caused by the cyst her condition would worsen quickly. Thankfully, after a month of monitoring her, she remained the same. We got her the surgery to fix her patellas and she is doing wonderful with that. Her gait will always be a little off, but she is strong and gets around great and NOT in any pain. Her subarachnoid diverticulum has left her with just a tiny issue breaking off poop sometimes when she is done. Her foster occasionally finds a small piece just outside of the litterbox. A small dose of lactilose per day, has seemed to help with this. Bitty's personality is FANTASTIC. She is super sweet, LOVES attention and lap sitting. She does very well around other cats. She is a charmingly sweet kitty.
