My Story
From August 2nd thru August 9th please contact [email protected] to find out how to adopt this cat
These babies all had to visit the vet several times to help them when they lost their mother. Can you help cover their vet bills? Every little bit helps.
Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact Tina to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this cat! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.
You can save animals like Bianca by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering animals.
Want to meet a handful of cats in person? Check out a list of our upcoming pet adoption events.
Bianca is a sweet and determined little kitten. She has been busy growing, playing with her siblings and hunting for her new home. She would love to be adopted with her sister Beatrice
These kittens came from a high kill MD shelter with their Mom when they were just one week old. Sadly Mom developed an infection from her labor and delivery, which resulted in her death and the death of one of their sisters. Bianca and her sister Beatrice suffered lasting effects from their Moms illness. Bianca has Cerebullar Hypoplasia, which basically means she has some issues with her motor skills. She is very shaky and is considered a special needs kitty. Her sister Beatrice also suffers some twinges of the handicap but not to the same extent.
You can read more about it at http://www.messybeast.com/disabled.htm#CH
Gender: Female
Approximate age: 8 weeks as of July 17th
Location: NOVA foster home
Declawed: No
Coat Type: Short and soft
Personality: Calm, curious and full of life
The adoption fee for this cat is $50.00, which helps with cost of routine vet care.
Bianca will need to be spayed by the time he is 6 months old. Spay/Neuters can cost between $2-500 at most vets. There are several low cost options in our area but an adopter should be prepared for these costs. Bianca is up to date on age appropriate shots and negative for FIV/FeLV.
