My Story

*** Bella is at our PetCo, Mira Mesa adoption center. *** Brown/orange torbie, medium hair, spayed female, born approx. 5/1/14, #10632 Cats: best solo, can co-exist w/mellow cat Dogs: unknown Children: calm tweens+ or adults Bella and her sister Stella were adopted from The Rescue House when they were kittens, and they had a loving home together for nine years until their guardian fell severely ill and could no longer care for them. They have come back to us so we can help them find an adopter who will love them just as dearly. Bella has moved past her time of wild kitten play and is more interested in a mellow life that is full of the simple luxuries. (Though she'll still happily play with toys, it's less intense.) She will stroll around the house and find the comfy spots... warm sunbeams are particularly nice. Bella likes to sit with you and get attention, though she prefers if you let her keep her paws mostly under her own control during petting sessions. She loves a good scratching behind the ears... it's just the best! She also enjoys a good brushing with a long-hair comb, which helps Bella keep her gorgeous fur coat looking its best. Bella appreciates some time to get to know new people and places, and like many cats she can startle at sudden loud noises, but as things calm down she'll be okay again. When you go to bed at night, Bella will likely be on the bed with you, and she is overall a lovely companion kitty. Bella is happiest as a solo cat; she is largely indifferent to other cats and can co-exist, though she can get grumpy in kind if another cat is grumpy with her. We don't know her thoughts on dogs, though it's possible she could get along with a dog who understands that the cat is the boss. Calm cat-savvy tweens+ or an adult home would suit Bella best. Bella is a beauty who just wants to be loved like she was by her former person. Will you welcome Bella home for the rest of her life?
