My Story

Late on a Saturday afternoon Homeward Trails got a desperate plea from one of the shelters we work with occasionally. Five tiny babies with no mother, starving to death and nobody to help raise them. We quickly brought them to the safety of one of our experienced foster homes.

Since the World Cup had just started, the foster parents named the litter the FIFAs and gave the kittens soccer-related names. A great-looking orange-and-white snuggler, Beckham was named after the famous English soccer star. Beckham is a little more easygoing and less vocal than his alpha-brother Bafana, but he still likes to wrestle with all of this siblings and tell his peeps when he needs something.

You can read more about Beckham's adventures in foster care at 50kittens.com.

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact Tina to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this cat! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.

You can save animals like Beckham by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please check out our information about fostering animals.
