BEAR

Want to know more about Bear? 'Bear' with me while I explain myself. My name is Bear and I am searching for my one and only true love. I am a one person kind of guy who just wants a small quiet place to call my own. I tend to be an independent loner who prefers the simple life, but I may do well with a senior dog that doesn't pay much attention to me. I may be as big as a grizzly, but it's all fluff and filler. With me, less is more I prefer a small space and a small family. Truth is, I'm a bit of a scare bear who lacks confidence and likes to take things slow when getting to know a new person or place. I'm as black as a shadow, but sometimes I am also afraid of my own shadow. I can also be afraid of cats. I let them bully me even if they only wish to play. You and me is all I need. You see, the only Bear I take after is Baloo from Disney's film, The Jungle Book because I look for is The bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. I don't growl like a Bear, but I do have some anxiety that causes me to hiss when I am unsure. I'm not as mad as you think. I just don't have the best communication skills. I don't even know how to meow. I just make a soft squeaking noise that sounds more like a mouse than a cat. I don't like bear hugs and I don't have a bare coat. I'm extra fluffy, yet don't care much for brushing. I'm a handsome guy, but not a show off. I don't even like the spot light. Just pet me gently when I ask for attention and give me the space I need. I'm low energy and would love to snuggle with someone I can claim is all mine when we loaf around doing nothing together. I promise to stay out of the way while you are busy or when company is over, but if you like relaxing in front of the TV, scrolling through your phone, crocheting, reading, or just being chill....I am all in. I dig my alone time, so if you have to leave me for work during the day I will be here and ready to greet you when you return. If you have a small cave I can hide in, you will Barely know this Bear is there until snuggle time when I will coat you with my love... and possibly some of my fluff. I like treats, but am never demanding. I like wet food, but eat dry too (wet, hairball formula, canned food is best for me). I use cardboard scratchers, enjoy extra large litter boxes, and a quiet wand toy with a feather or plush toy that moves slowly around. I will even play with it all by myself if you are busy. I currently live with a foster who knows all about me and will happily fill you in on all my quirks to make my transition more 'Bear-able for us both. I'm a good boy, and if you call me a good boy and give me a chance, I will become the snuggly teddy bear I was born to be.
