My Story

This is Bear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eByNqOS04Wg&feature=player_embedded

Bear is a big huggy teddy bear kinda boy. He is super mellow, great with other cats, but frightened of dogs.

Bear was originally brought into a shelter as a stray. He was adopted into a home with dogs but that did not work out. The dogs really scared him, so badly that he ran outside and it took a month to get him back. So now he is in a foster home in Oakland.

Bear immediately acclimated to his foster home. He slept on the bed with his foster mom the first night. Checked the house out from top to bottom and never went into hiding. He follows his foster mom around like a little dog. And he is very cool with the other cats, no issues at all.

Bear is maybe 3 or 4 years old, neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia. He did test positive for FIV but that’s not such a big deal these days. People are becoming more and more enlightened about FIV. (For info on FIV, read http://www.bestfriends.org/theanimals/petcare/cats_fiv.cfm)

If you would be interested in meeting Bear, please email with some info about yourself and your home environment. As for the adoption fee, the amount is open. We’re a non-profit rescue and any donation will be much appreciated.
