Everyone knows someone like Bassie. She’s shy with strangers, as many of us are - or should be. She knows better than to cozy up next to someone before she’s had a chance to do a deep dive on their socials. She’s smart like that. But if you gently coax and show her that you can be trusted, this darling tuxie girl will open up to you and be your friend for life. There aren’t many things better than getting a shy cat to trust you and come to you for cuddles. Honestly, it feels like a superpower. You should try it. It took some time, but her foster family says she will now come to them and melt with happiness into their laps. Or she might stretch out across their faces when lying down. Bottom line: Bassie take a minute to warm up but once she does, will be nothing but love. She was rescued January 2023 and has not had much luck finding her people. Her foster family says that Bassie is one of their favorite fosters! That’s high praise coming from cat people who have seen a lot of sweet felines come and go. Give Bassie a try and let her have plenty of space and time. You won’t be disappointed.
