Axel - the Hebrew word for peace.
This little guy started life in the gutter - filthy dirty when he was trapped with his siblings at 6 weeks of age (6-26-08), he was shy and scared. While the others ventured out to play rambunctiously, Axel would stay in the background and watch... but slowly, surely, he began to trust. He was named Axel because he is not a fighter - he wants peace. And he has come to believe he will get it - now, just weeks after he was taken from the cold muddy surroundings of his birth, this boy is happy and playful, and is the first to purr when stroked. He no longer shys away from a hand, because he knows the hands are kind. He is now a total lovebug, cuddling and rolling on his back for belly rubs.
Axel will fit into any home where there is love and kindness - if your home is more the rough and rowdy kind, please pass him by, this is not the kitten for you. Gentle children would do well with Axel, as would kind and caring adults. Adopt only if you want a lap filled with a purring baby.
Axel has a darling sister named Raisa - if you choose to adopt them as a pair, only one adoption fee will apply.
