Aurora did not have a good start to her life. From about 8 weeks of age, she was neglected and mistreated, spending months locked in a small area with 2 other cats receiving very little care or socialization. When she arrived to us at 1 year of age, we discovered that she was pregnant. She had a litter of 7 very tiny babies but because she had not been provided with adequate nutrition, only 2 of her babies survived.
Aurora is currently being fostered with her 2 girls, and she has been blossoming! She is still quite skittish at strange people and sounds. Once she becomes accustomed to someone or a new area, she is playful and curious and seeks out petting. She LOVES to be brushed, especially with one of those mittens.
Her coat is long and rather unique. Not really fluffy, but more silky and smooth. Aurora has never shown any sign of aggression. Her initial reaction to new things is to hide and watch. This is becoming less of an issue and she has made some other kitty friends over the past months. She is very good with younger kitties as long as they are respectful, but she shows an interest in all the cats she meets and just wants to be friends.
Aurora will probably not do well with small children or a home with a lot of noise or chaos. She has met a couple of dogs and handled it well.
She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, blood tested and has received flea/parasite treatment.
