My Story

Annie was originally surrendered to Animal Friends in March 2020 with her young kittens and was immediately placed in a foster home. After she finished raising her kittens, she was adopted in May 2020, but has come back to us May 2024 due to beginning to have accidents in the home and peeing on the counters. Her previous home may have been a bit too stressful for Annie and contained kids, dogs, and other cats. Her former owner stated that though Annie can be sweet and enjoys lounging on a bed or sleeping in a lap, if you pester her too much she will bite. When strangers came to the home, Annie would hide at first, but after a while she would come out and warm up to the company. Annie has medium energy level. She has been around dogs and is fine coexisting if they ignore her. Annie did not seem to be a fan of the other cats in the home and would sometimes hiss and swat at them if they were in her space. Annie has lived with other children and done fine, though the former owner did not think she would enjoy living with young kids. Annie enjoys being pet down her back from her head to her tail, but does not like her belly being touched. Annie is front declawed and needs to be kept fully inside. We hate to have Annie back in the shelter environment, but hope we can find her a relaxing home where she can thrive. Annie is current on shots and microchipped. Cats are treated monthly with Revolution flea preventative. All pets are spayed/neutered prior to a finalized adoption. If you have questions about an animal please have their name and ID number ready and contact shelter staff by: (1) visiting Animal Friends during our open hours (though some cats may be located offsite at one of our partner locations), (2) calling 513-867-5727, or (3) emailing [email protected]. WE HAVE MORE PETS IN THE SHELTER THAT ARE NOT ON PETFINDER.
