Meet Allie! Miss Allie Cat and her friend, Chicken Nugget, came to us after their owner passed away. Both were understandably upset in the beginning, but they have become sweet, friendly girls. Allie is the more outgoing and vocal of the two. As soon as we come in, she lets us know she's ready for some attention with her froggy meow. She loves vigorous pets and cuddles. She will strut her stuff from side to side while we stroke her from nose to tail. Every now and then, if our petting isn't up to snuff, she'll give us a chomp to let us know she wants more. We think Allie would make a great lap cat or cuddle buddy for someone looking for a low-key companion. Allie is front-declawed. She will still try to swat at us sometimes if she gets upset, which can be frightening if you aren't expecting it. Because she is declawed, there is a greater risk of her biting when she feels upset or unsafe. For this reason, we wouldn't recommend her to a home with kids under 10. Allie isn't fond of cats at the center, but did live with her friend Chicken Nugget for many years, so we think she might be okay with another low-energy cat after a long introduction. She has not been tested with dogs. Allie is 13 years old as of February 2024. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $10.60.
