My Story

Lover, Excited, Independent Adoption Option is truly your best option for a cat adoption! He loves to be pet and cuddled! He is a high energy cat that is a total sucker for a red laser. He will run everything out of his way to catch the glowing red dot! Adoption Option also loves a cardboard scratcher type. He goes CRAZY scratching on it. He enjoys wand toys as well and loves to play with his human. Adoption Option is highly affectionate. He loves to snuggle! He loves to be held like a baby or over your shoulder. He just wants to be near you, on you and/or to be pet by you. He likes to ask for head rubs/pats. Adoption Option does lick and will lick your face if you get close enough. He loves belly rubs and making air biscuits. He makes biscuits wherever he is, if he's in your lap, in your arms, laying sideways, everywhere. He likes little pats and good scratches. Adoption Option has a typical vocal level; he gives small meows but they are more of a cackle than a meow. In the cattery, he was very cuddly with a cat his own size, rubbing on their tail trying to get their attention. We are trying to see how he is with a cat half his size. Adoption Option has had positive interactions with children as young as 6. Adoption Option has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. KITTY can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Adoption Option, please email [email protected].
