My Story

Abigail has a sad story but is ready for her happily-ever-after! Abby (along with her sister, Marie) was dumped at our shelter in a laundry basket and was so confused and absolutely terrified. It took her several months to finally open up and learn to trust humans. She has been with her foster parents for a few months and has made such incredible strides during that time! Once Abby learns to trust you, she loves attention and will arch her back for pets. She absolutely loves being pampered and brushed! She's a vibrant girl that loves to play, especially with wand toys. She has the cutest little chirp while she's playing! Abby loves her wet food, Churus, and Temptations treats. She's more of a "near you" than "on you" cat and likes having her own space to retreat to when she's overwhelmed. Abby currently lives in a foster home with her sister, Marie. Due to her playful nature, Abby's foster mom thinks she would prefer a home with another friendly, chill cat, as long as they are given a proper intro and the other cat understands when to give her space. She would do best in a dog-free home, or with a dog that respects her space. Abby is a shy girl and can take a while to warm up to new people. Abby will require a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to open up and thrive around humans. We just know her forever family is out there!
