My Story

Meet, "Kit," a large, 5 year old, tabby & white domestic short hair rescued off the streets of Manhattan when he was just a kitten. Life was good for Kit and his bachelor dad until "Ms. Right" became Mrs. and had no use for cats in general and Kit in particular. Kit has a wonderful quirky side to his personality and has blossomed while in foster care. He has learned to play (loves his feather toy and "shark") and will follow his care-givers around so as to be close to them. Kit insists on a covered litter pan. He sits patiently while being brushed but can become over-stimulated and nip lightly so placement with young children is not recommended. Because Kit is frightened of strangers he will do best in a quiet home. He needs to be adopted by someone who will follow proper "cat introduction" protocols. It should take just a couple of days of TLC and patience for Kit to settle in to a new home and show his new family what a charming companion he is. If you'd like to meet Kit, please check our website www.focasnews.org for our weekly adoption locations or leave a message on the FOCAS Helpline (201) 943-4019; press option 4.
