Petey

Petey is an approximately 21 year old DNA-sexed male Blue and Gold Macaw. He is tame and in good feather. He is thoroughly vet checked including bloodwork. Petey grew up with a large family of children so his vocabulary is quite extensive. He does have limited range of motion on his left wing and should be cared for accordingly. Petey has a scissor beak that will require regular beak trims from a vet. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption applications for any Macaws will not be considered unless the applicant has previous large bird experience. Because large birds are so intelligent and have specific needs to live a happy life, we require their adopters to have personal experience living with/caring for large birds. If applying, please be prepared to detail personal experience. The best way to gain experience is to volunteer! We are always accepting new volunteer applications! Petey's adoption fee is $800. Once your application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet with you/your family. We are located in Waukesha, WI and do not ship. All adopters must live within a 100 mile radius. We do not adopt birds to households that have the opposite gender birds.
