Lulu

Lulu is an adult female Moluccan Cockatoo who loves all eyes on her! She has been vetted (CBC & Gram Stain) as well as disease tested (Psittacosis, PBFD & Pacheos). She is not a cuddly bird, which is good for hormones, enjoys some head scratches but has a history of nipping at times. Hormones makes her need for nesting a challenge due to trying to keep her busy with enrichment. She is currently on hormone tea daily as well as nice hard crunchy fresh veggies! She loves to run and hop around when playing. Her diet consist of fresh chop, Roudybush pellets, nuts & nutriberries. Twice a week she gets a spray bath that she loves. Toys do not stand a chance with her, learning to be creative and make your own toys will save you money! Lulu will not be adopted to apartment, condominium or townhouse residents. Cockatoo experience is a must. There are multiple visits required to interact with the bird you connect with. Your first visit is what I compare to speed dating, you will meet many wonderful and sweet birds and we see who you connect with, attention is paid for how birds respond, we base our adoptions on the birds input and tell all adopters that when we let the bird choose, it's always a good match! During the visit time frame, we typically perform a home visit as well. The home visit is a great chance to review bringing home a rescue bird, where to setup cages, dangers in the home that many people may not consider, diet, daily routines, etc
