Daytona

Daytona is a independent Severe Macaw. She had been found outside flying around years ago and the woman that found her brought her to us. She's a bit handicapped in that she's missing most of her toes, don't let that fool you..she can fly, climb, perch very easily. However, she is not a cuddly bird, she's still a bit afraid of hands but is learning to take treats from her foster home mom. Her days are filled with flying around, buzzing anyone that walks in, hanging out in front of the window, eating other birds food if given a chance. She is a foodie at heart especially for the good stuff like almonds, walnuts...She is not a picky eater and will almost everything given to her. Her diet consists of fresh foods, sprouts, pellets, nuts, birdie bread. Toys are a must, she likes to chew on wood blocks, cupcake wrappers, coin papers with almonds hid in them. Of course shredder toys are a plus as well....who doesn't enjoy shredding napkins! She needs a home with no dogs or cats and where she can fly around. She doesn't show well but given the opportunity she would still make a wonderful pet.
